moment.4 came to life after a quest to reveal the character of wood through a different lens.

by applying the traditional Japanese technique of shou sugi ban, where parts of the wood are charred, unique patterns emerge, highlighting the organic character of the material.

the final treatment with a colored stainer adds a fluid contrast, moving beyond the standard tones of wood and giving the piece a distinctly contemporary identity.
