moment.1 is a playful yet practical solution, designed to fit effortlessly within the dining area of the customers' newly-build home. its organic, asymmetric shape creates a subtle visual tension while being carefully created with the functional flow of the home in mind.

the design process began by mapping out the overall shape of the table within the client's living space.
as always, a foam mock-up was created to validate the final shape before moving into production.
thanks to the selection of this specific wood, we were able to work with an insteresting, yet naturally occuring pattern.
through carefully deciding the grain direction, it became as if the table and base house their own tree within.
a plinth base was designed to follow the organic shape of the tabletop, requiring an interesting approach to realise.
